Barrington boys track team finishes dual meets undefeated

The Barrington High School boys track team finished the dual meet season undefeated after wins over Shea (143-7), Tiverton (121-29) and Tolman (134-16) last week. 

Grady Hazlett won the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles, and teamed up with Brooks Mello, Xav Barako and Marius Bonard to win the 4x400-meter relay. Bonard also won the 800-meter race. 

Henry Stockwell raced to a first place finish in the 400-meter race, while Vlad Horvatic won the 1,500-meter race. 

Daniel Serna, Caleb Satisfield, Charly Potter and Bobby Wind won the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 43.5 seconds. Charlie Brito won the 200-meter race.

Joe Adams won three events — the BHS junior won the hammer with a distance of 196 feet, 4 inches, was tops in the shot put with a distance of 47 feet, 6 inches, and won the discus at 144 feet, 9 inches. 

Potter won the javelin and the long jump, while Caleb Appleyard won the pole vault. Satisfield won the high jump, clearing the bar at 6 feet, 4 inches. 

Classical Classic

The Barrington High School boys track team had a great day at the Classical Classic, winning seven out of the 19 varsity events competed in this second state-qualifier invitational this season. 

Barrington's meet champions were the 4x800-meter relay team of Fritz Muehlbauer, Bonard, Brady Andrew, and Stockwell; Myles Napolitano in the 1,500; Wind in the 110-meter hurdles; Hazlett in the 300-meter hurdles; Potter in the javelin; Adams in the discus; and Aden Memoli in the long jump.
