Former Barrington High School quarterbacks James Anderson and Alex McClelland met on the field following the URI vs. Bryant University football game on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Anderson is a sophomore QB for the Bulldogs, and McClelland is a freshman QB for the Rams.

The University of Rhode Island defeated Bryant University 35-21 in the regular season finale. URI, which improved to 10-2, will be the No. 10 seed and host Central Connecticut State in the opening round of the 2024 FCS Championship at Meade Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 30.

The Rams won a share of the CAA Football title this season and is one of 14 schools to receive an at-large bid to the tournament, marking the program's first postseason appearance since 1985.
Bryant dropped to 2-10 for the 2024 season.
