The newest members of the Barrington Town Council and Barrington School Committee were sworn in on Monday night, Dec. 2, during a special ceremony at Barrington Town Hall.

Officially called an organizational meeting, the event serves as the swearing-in ceremony for the newest town and school officials.

Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Emo swore in the new Council members — Liana Cassar, Jordan Jancosek and Kerry O’Neill. Council members selected Braxton Cloutier as President and Kate Berard as Vice President.

Congressman Amo also swore in Liz Singh, Karen Rasnick and Tim McNamara as the new Barrington School Committee members.

Richard Staples was sworn in as Town Moderator, a post he has held for years.
