Barrington Police are investigating a suspicious condition at the Shaw’s Supermarket in the Barrington Shopping Center.
On Monday, June 6, a caller told police that a short, stocky, middle-aged man driving a white pickup truck has been stopping by the store early in the morning — around 4 or 5 a.m. — and stealing a few plants from the outdoor display.
The report also indicated the man actually comes back to the store during business hours and does his shopping there too.
Police are still trying to identify the suspect. Police said the man has stolen plants on three separate days.
