Ralph Joseph Petrucci Jr., 81, was born in Providence, R.I., March 3, 1940. He passed away peacefully in his Florida home on Feb. 27, 2022.

He was the only son of the late Dr. Ralph J. Petrucci and Mrs. Jeanette C.(Langelier)Petrucci of Warren, R.I.

Ralph was a long-time resident of Child Street and Stonegate Road on the Mt. Hope Bay, Touisset Neck, before moving to St. Petersburg, Fla.

Ralph Jr. attended the French Church School in Warren, R.I., before enrolling in St. Mary’s Academy Bay View in Pawtucket. From there he attended Moses Brown School in Providence. He was a Cub Scout member and member of Touisett Point Junior Community Club. He had a Criss Craft Motorboat for summers in Touisset, until 1955 Hurricane “Carol” destroyed it.

Ralph Jr. transferred from Moses Brown to Warren High School, graduating in 1958. He was a member of the Warren High football team. He then attended business school at Bryant College in Providence, R.I. Ralph served in the Rhode Island, National Guard from 1962 to 1967, where he was recognized as a Sharpshooter, rifle.

Ralph’s love of everything historical continued until his last days. He owned his own storefront businesses throughout his life, dealing/trading antiques, collectibles, gold, silver and coins. He was one of the few that made their passion, their business. He closed his storefront, Trading Post Antiques on Main Street in Warren, R.I., in 2019, to move closer to his family. He continued to deal in antiques at the Antique Mall on Bay Pines Blvd., St Petersburg, Fla., until his sudden death. He loved Fifties music and played his 45’s daily.

Ralph is survived by one son, Ralph J Petrucci III of Florida; two daughters, Rebecca C Petrucci of Massachusetts, Renee J. Petrucci of Florida, and mothers of his children; two granddaughters, Jessica C. Pires (Paul Wyandt) of Floriday and Tuesday K. Quesenberry Burgess (Shane) of North Carolina; one grandson, Rosco A. Stanzione, R.I.; great-grandchildren, Paul, Dylan, Nadia and Michael Wyandt; Giavona and Anthony Stanzione; and a great-great-grandson Paul C. Wyandt, all of Florida. He also leaves his only sister, Carol (Petrucci) Paradis Ibach of Lakewood, Colo, two nephews. Dr. Trent A. Paradis (Sarah) and Scott L. Paradis; great-nephew Jonathan R. Paradis; and two great-nieces, Caroline R. Paradis and Abigal J. Paradis, all of Colorado.

He was loved and will be missed by many. Ralph’s smile and laughter will be remembered.
