Police: Suspects arrived in white Volvo SUV

Posted

Two Barrington residents woke up Monday morning, June 20, and discovered that their vehicles had been stolen.

Barrington Police said a Governor Bradford Drive resident and a Chapin Road resident reported stolen vehicles — a Lexus sedan was stolen from the Governor Bradford Drive home, and a Kia Telluride was stolen from the Chapin Road home.

Security cameras at both homes captured footage of the larcenies. Both videos show the suspects arrive in a white Volvo SUV at about 3:15 a.m. — the incidents occurred just minutes apart — and then approach vehicles parked in the homes’ driveways.

Police said there were at least two suspects.

Police said both vehicles that were stolen had been left unlocked and officials believe the keys had been left inside one of the vehicles.
