Bristol Police: Canoodling at Colt and a mostly quiet week

There were no arrests amid a relatively quiet week for Bristol Police from Sept. 20 to  26.

Monday, Sept. 20

Officers investigated a complaint of a man harassing a woman on Wood Street at 11:18 a.m.

A Hamlet Drive resident called police about a possibly sick dog at 6:28 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 21

Someone reported illegal dumping along Narrows Road at 10:33 a.m. DPW was notified to clean up.

An officer spoke to a male drone pilot after someone complained he was flying it over people at Colt State Park at 4:56 p.m. There were no further problems; he wrapped it up for the day.

At 5:22 p.m., someone complained about loud music with vulgar words that had allegedly been playing for hours in the area of Hope and Chestnut streets. A patrolman initially reported the music was coming from a sporting event at the high school, but there was a contradictory report that it was not coming the high school.

A caller reported a group of juveniles breaking glass in the area of St. Elizabeth and Reid streets. An officer reported there were no problems. They were breaking glass in a recycling bin.

Wednesday, Sept. 22

Someone reported a white Lexus operating recklessly on Thames Street at 8:53 p.m. It was gone when an officer arrived.

Thursday, Sept. 23

Officers dispersed two men who were involved in an argument on Hope Street at 3:43 p.m.

Someone reported a man yelling at kids who were playing baseball and at the skate park area of the town sports complex at 6:39 p.m. An officer found no problems.

An officer investigated a complaint of loud noise on Sweeney Lane at 11:44 p.m. A patrolman found no noise comping from the residence.

Friday, Sept. 24

There was a report of loud noise coming from a Constitution Street residence at 12:01 a.m.

There was another loud noise complaint from Sweeney Lane at 12:37 a.m. An officer spoke to those involved.

A Jennifer Drive resident reported identify theft.

Officers responded to investigated after a reported fight on a school bus at 2:23 p.m.

Police received two complaints about juveniles along State Street who were allegedly trying to get access to cars and were reportedly ringing an elderly resident’s doorbell. An officer responded and talked to those involved.

There was a complaint about a loud group on DeWolf Avenue at 8:46 p.m.

An officer investigated a complaint about a loud gathering on Cole Street at 10:57 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 25

There was another complaint about a large group of people on DeWolf Avenue at 12:23 a.m.

Rescue was called to the intersection of Hope and Franklin streets to assist after an intoxicated woman was removed from a RIPTA bus at 11:47 a.m.

A Garfield Court resident filed a complaint about ongoing noise.

An officer helped remove a man from the Seasons Corner Market on Metacom Avenue at 5:15 p.m.

Someone complained about noise coming from a wedding reception on Thames Street at 9:11 p.m. An officer responded and found the noise level was acceptable.

An officer was called to the area of Martin Avenue and Evelyn Drive for a report of people outside making loud noise at 11:03 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 26

Someone notified police that a man and woman inside a dark-colored SUV parked at the Colt State Park boat ramp area were possibly engaged in inappropriate activities at 5:18 p.m.

An officer spoke to people who were playing music loudly at the basketball courts at the Town Common at 9:22 p.m.
