Bristol Police: Enticement of a minor, domestic assault and fireworks

Bristol Police made several arrests, with charges including domestic assault and enticement of a minor for an incident on the Town Common.

Monday, June 21

Victoria L. Quintal, 27, of 394 Metacom Ave., Apt. 34, Bristol, was charged with simple domestic assault.

An officer dispersed several people who were under the Mt. Hope Bridge on Lower Ferry Road at 1:02 p.m.

A sick raccoon was reported along the East Bay Bike Path near Asylum Road at 2:33 p.m.

A resident on Annawamscutt Drive reported damage to a mailbox at 7:46 p.m.

Tuesday, June 22

An officer spoke to someone on Bay View Avenue about loud music at 5:53 a.m.

Wednesday, June 23

A sick raccoon was reported on Minturn Farm Road at 8:03 a.m.

Someone reported fireworks in the area of Chilton and Franklin streets at 9:37 a.m.

After a report of suspicious activity at the Mt. Hope High School football field at 11:42 p.m., an officer found no problems, just a man using the track.

Thursday, June 24

An officer dispersed a small group from the Mt. Hope Boat Ramp off Annawamscutt Drive at 12:23 a.m.

At 2:15 p.m., several juveniles reported being approached by a man at the Town Common. Police investigated and arrested Joseph Catanzaro, 31, of Johnston. He was charged with enticement of a person under the age of 16, arraigned at the station and released.

Friday, June 25

The animal control officer issued a summons to a dog owner for letting the canine run loose at 7:42 a.m. on Viking Drive.

A group of juvenile girls reported some other juvenile girls following them along Rock Street at 8:22 p.m. An officer responded and reported it was a misunderstanding between the two groups of girls.

Saturday, June 26

Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance on Wilson Street at 9:21 a.m. but could not locate the involved parties.

Officers went back to Wilson Street at 4:03 p.m. to serve a warrant and found the male in question running up Roma Street. Valdemiro S. Loras, 36, of 5 Wilson St., Apt. 3, Bristol, was taken into custody and brought to the station, where he was charged with simple domestic assault, domestic disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was arraigned at the station and released.

Police were called to the town sports complex off Asylum Road after a male parent allegedly made threats to a coach at 5:40 p.m. It was resolved with no further issues.

An officer spoke with a resident after a complaint about fireworks on Franca Drive at 9 p.m.

An officer spoke with an Aaron Avenue resident after police received a loud music complaint at 9:51 p.m.

Police issued a summons to a resident on Francesca Lane after police found a large gathering of underage people at 10:38 p.m.

Sunday, June 27

A High Street caller reported loud music and fireworks at 12:08 a.m. Officers responded but found nothing.

Someone complained of loud music on Evelyn Drive at 1:01 a.m. After a second complaint at 1:43 a.m., an officer spoke to the offending party.

An officer dispersed people from Court Street after a noise complaint at 4:47 a.m.

An officer spoke to someone about noise on Bay View Avenue at 6:36 a.m.

Fireworks were reported along Fesser Avenue at 7:29 a.m.

A fight was reported on Siegel Street at 8:34 p.m.

An officer spoke to someone about shooting off fireworks on First Street at 8:38 p.m.

An officer advised someone about using fireworks on State Street at 9:36 p.m.

There were two reports of people arguing in the roadway in the area of Bradford Street and Murphy Avenue. After the second complaint at 10:24 p.m., officers dispersed them from the area.

Monday, June 28

Andrew A. Pavao, 30, of East Providence, was charged with driving under the influence, .15 or greater, after being taken into custody along Metacom Avenue at 1:28 a.m.
