Frank Cavalieri Jr., 70, of Bristol

Frank Cavalieri Jr., 70, of Bristol, R.I., passed away, Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, R.I.

He was the husband of Marjorie Ann (Jackson) Cavalieri.

Born in Providence, R.I., he was the son of the late Frank and Caterina (Femino) Cavalieri.

Mr. Cavalieri had worked as a care giver at Life Incorporated and at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Home for many years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Cup Defenders of Bristol. He was an avid painter and enjoyed building and graphic design.

He also enjoyed boating, fishing, quahogging, mushroom foraging, and playing the guitar.  He also loved playing football in high school for the Bristol Colts, Class of 1969. Mr. Cavalieri had coached his children’s baseball, football and wrestling teams in Bristol and Warren, as well as being involved with the high school band.

Besides his wife, he survived by four sons, Frank Cavalieri III of Bristol, R.I., Peter G. Cavalieri of Bristol, R.I., Jesse J. Cavalieri of Warren, R.I., and Adam J. Cavalieri and his husband Oscar of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six brothers, Domenic Cavalieri, Joseph Cavalieri, Stephen Cavalieri, Anthony Cavalieri, Peter Cavalieri, and Paul Cavalieri, all of Bristol, R.I.; three sisters, Irene Diggs of Moreno Valley, Calif., Mary Nelson of Coventry, R.I., and Patricia Carroll of Bristol, R.I., and one grandson, Frank Cavalieri IV.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 12 p.m. in Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, R.I.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol, RI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cup Defenders Association, 230 Wood St., Bristol, RI 02809.
