Harold Edward Hale, 92, of Bristol

Harold Edward Hale, 92, of Lang Avenue passed away on Sept. 7, 2021, at Newport Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Regina (Partington) Hale.

Born in Mulberry, Ark., he was the son of the late James and Mamie (Hargrove) Hale. He is survived by his children: Janet Lewis and her husband Richard of Bristol, and Joseph Hale and his wife Darlene of Warren. He was the grandfather of Jessica Hedges, Ryan Lewis, Jennifer Burling and Lauren Conca, and great-grandfather of Konnor Hedges, Fiona Lewis, Jack Lewis, Evelyn Burling, Alice Conca and the late Isaac Burling. He was the brother of the late Jimmie Hendricks.

Mr. Hale was a graduate of Santa Paula High School and Ventura College. He was employed as a Specifications Engineer for Kaiser Aluminum before retiring.

His funeral services were held Sept. 13 from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Barry Gamache at St. Mary’s Church. Liturgical readings were by Jennifer Burling and Lauren Conca, who also read a poem.  The Prayer of the Faithful was read by Ryan Lewis.  Serving as pallbearers were Samuel Burling, Addison Conca, Nathan Gallison, Timothy Gallison, Kyle Hedges and Ryan Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol RI  02809 or Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Parker Drive Suite 602, Boston MA 02215.
