Portsmouth Police charge 2 with domestic assault in separate incidents

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police reports:

Monday, April 26

Rachael S. Rego, 21, of 40 Jesse Drive, was charged with domestic assault after police responded to her home around 12:20 p.m. to investigate a report of a domestic incident that had taken place earlier that day. Police said they determined that Ms. Rego had slapped her ex-boyfriend, a 21-year-old from Coventry, in the face.

Tuesday, April 27 

Corey K. Eckart, 30, of 467 Warley St., was charged with domestic assault, after police responded to his home around 8:25 p.m. in response to a call for service. Police said they determined that Mr. Eckart had physically assaulted a 31-year-old Portsmouth woman with whom he has a domestic relationship. 

Saturday, May 1

Aaren Otto, 22, of 120 Battery Lane, Jamestown, was charged with being a fugitive from justice after his vehicle was pulled over on Boyds Lane at Anthony Road around 1:25 a.m. During a records check, police learned Mr. Otto had an active full tradition warrant from the Auburn, Maine Sheriff’s Office. He was held overnight pending transportation to the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston in the morning.

Cheyenne R. Christian-Shnider, 20, of 68 Homestead St., Boston, was arrested on two active arrest warrants out of Cranston and Warwick after her vehicle was pulled over on Route 24 at Cedar Island around 11:15 p.m. After being processed, she was released into the custody of the Cranston Police Department. 

Sunday, May 2

Kelsie A. Courtemanche, 28, 2057 Meridian St., Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for multiple moving violations on Route 24 any Sprague Street shortly after 1 a.m. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said. 

Daniel A. Koehler, 33, of 76 Arlington Ave., Warren, was charged with driving without an active license (first offense) following a motor vehicle stop on Bristol Ferry Road at Brownell Lane around 5:10 p.m.

Justin R. Albano, 31, of 1 South Drive, was charged with driving without an active license (first offense) after being pulled over on Route 24 North at Cedar Island around 10 p.m. for crossing over the white fog line several times.
