Therese Delores Bergeron, 95, of Bristol

Therese Delores (Desaulniers) Bergeron, 95, passed away on July 20, 2021, at Grace Barker Health.  She was the wife of the late Fernand Jerome Bergeron.

Born in Woonsocket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Rodolphe and Aurore (Beaudreau) Desaulniers. She is survived by her children:  Jacques Bergeron, Philippe Bergeron, Anne-Marie Tavares, Michael Bergeron and Elizabeth Paul; grandchildren: Daniel Bergeron, Gabe Bergeron, Austin Bergeron, Ben Tavares, Laura Linehan, Sam Tavares, Ellie Aker, Paul Bergeron, David Bergeron, Lexi Paul, Hannah Paul and Ashley Paul; and great-grandchildren, Grant Bergeron, Camille Tavares and Brighton Linehan. She was the sister of Lucille Soucy, Pauline Horent, Charles Desaulniers, and the late Margarite Solon and Andre Desaulniers.

Mrs. Bergeron was a graduate of St. Clare High School and employed by the law firm of DeCosta & Abilheira before retiring. She is a woman who will be remembered for her faith, inspiration and the loving guidance she gave her family throughout her life.  She enjoyed spending the weekends with her sisters and brothers and Sunday dinners with her family.  She was a devoted grandmother who always had sweets for her grandchildren. She was a former member of the Interfaith Choir.

Calling hours are Monday, July 26, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
