Townies sprinters take gold at Eastern Division championships

Nazarae Phillip sprints ahead of teammate Kendra Daniel to take gold in the 100-meter relay. The Townies swept the event as Gionna DosSantos placed second and Daniel placed third.
Phillip, a senior, won gold in three events for the girls’ team. The speedster placed first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.62 seconds, the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.62 seconds and the high jump, clearing the bar at 5 feet, 3 inches.
