Carolyn A. (Hawkins) Rochford, 87, of Lakeside Street, Riverside, died Sunday November 14, 2021. She was the wife of the late Malcolm A. Rochford. Born August 18, 1934 in Central Falls she was the daughter of the late David F. Hawkins and Ann R. (Downie) Hawkins.
Carolyn worked as a receptionist for the East Side Clinical Lab for over 40 years. She was a member of he beloved Briggs Beach in Little Compton.
She was also an avid golfer at Firefly Golf Course, Hidden Hollow and bowled for many years at the old Seekonk Lanes. She traveled with the East Providence Recreation Department on many trips, played Bingo at the Senior Center and loved her Patriots.
Carolyn is survived by a son, Peter A, (Carey) Rochford of Warren, two daughters, Deborah A. Rochford and Jill A. (William) Wood both of Riverside. She leaves her grandchildren, a grand son in law, two step grandchildren, and four great grand children. She was the sister of Elizabeth M. (Albert) Soucy of Pawtucket.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 10 a.m. in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave. Calling hours will be Friday, Nov. 19, from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
