PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:
Tuesday, May 13
Yonathan Osvaldo Alvarez Cortez, 21, of 424 Park Ave., was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, after being pulled over for a moving violation on Boyds Lane at Chase Road at about 1:15 a.m.
Stacy Lorraine Rowland, 46, of 8 Perrault St., was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a reported road rage incident that took place on May 10, according to police. On that date, officers responded to Patriot Petroleum at about 2:25 p.m. Rowland was identified as one of the drivers but she was no longer on the scene, police said. After speaking with witnesses and reviewing security footage, police secured an affidavit warrant and Rowland turned herself in at the police station at about 7:35 a.m., police said. She was then transported to Newport District Court for her arraignment.
Christian Skawski, 33, of 12 Lincoln Ave. North, Providence, was charged shortly after 7 p.m. on two counts of circulating fraudulent checks under $1,000. Officers were contacted by police in West Warwick after they placed Skawski in custody based on an active Portsmouth affidavit warrant.
Nicole Riley Barry Jackson, 25, of 114 Kaufman Road, Tiverton, was charged with obstructing an officer while in execution of duty. According to police, a vehicle was pulled over for moving violations on West Main Road at Freedom Trail Drive around 7:45. Jackson was a passenger in the vehicle and provided an officer with a false name, according to police.
Wednesday, May 14
Kristian Eric Johnson, 25, of 2944 East Main Road, was charged with DUI, first offense, after officers responded to his home around 7:25 p.m. after getting a call for service. Johnson was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Thursday, May 15
Two people were charged with disorderly conduct after they turned themselves in on affidavit warrants around 7:40 p.m., according to police. The warrants were issued after probable cause was established that they had engaged in a verbal altercation with another party following a road rage incident, according to police. Charged were Marcus M. Bostic, 20, of 43 Brightridge Ave., East Providence; and Mya Del Bostic, 24, of 1037 North Genesee Ave. 8, West Hollywood, Calif.
Sunday, May 18
Jillian Marie Heos, 46, of 77 Pequot Lane, Middletown, was charged with DUI, first offense, after being pulled over around 1:10 a.m. on Turnpike Avenue at the Route 24 on-ramp for several moving violations, police said. She was also cited for refusing a chemical test.
Anabela R. Piedra, 57, of 1300 Anthony Road, was charged with domestic assault, first offense, at about 7:30 p.m. Officers responded to multiple 911 calls concerning a possible domestic incident in progress inside a vehicle at the address, according to police. The victim, a 54-year-old Portsmouth man, was located on the street near the home, police said.
Monday, May 19
Frederick Paul Serafin, 61, of 4 Morgan St., Newport, was charged with DUI, second offense, at about 12:20 a.m. A patrol officer came across a vehicle parked in the wrong lane of travel in the area of Mill Lane and West Main Road. Serafin, who appeared to be unconscious, was behind the wheel of the running vehicle and woke up to officers knocking on its window, according to police. Serafin was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.
