Spring moving into summer is often rainy, sunny, humid, and sometimes cold. Because of this imbalance in weather, the sky ends up having arguments in the form of thunderstorms, which often, luckily, end with a rainbow. Rainbows only last a moment or two in the sky, so if the moment is missed, here is one way to create a summer rainbow — a rainbow that will last all year.
Materials
Seashells
Acrylic paint
Paint brushes
A glass jar with a lid
Instructions
1. Gather some seashells.
2. Rinse the shells with soap and water and let them dry.
3. Paint each shell a color of a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
4. Allow them to dry, again.
5. Gently place them in the glass jar and screw the lid on top, layering them in the colors of a rainbow, until all the shells are used (or the jar is full).
6. Find a spot to enjoy the decor year round.
