Clarkson M. Gifford, Jr., 87, of Little Compton, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at home.  He was the husband of Hedwig M. "Wickie" (Faber) Gifford.

Born in Dartmouth, he was son of the late Clarkson M. Gifford Sr. and the late Mary (Jordan)  Gifford.  He served in the United States Army. Mr. Gifford was a dedicated and hard worker and owner/operator of C.M. Gifford Plumbing, Inc. in Little Compton.  He was an avid bowler and also a history buff.

Including his wife, survivors include a son: Kevin Gifford and his wife Cindy of Little Compton; a daughter: Vikki Tinkham of NH; a sister: Phyllis Bennett of Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren: Kandace, Kevin Jr., Austen, Masey, Maya and Ryley; three great-grandchildren: Peter Jr., Grayson and Everly Mae; his best friend Brodie; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River, MA 02721.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
