A Barrington boater's season got off to a rough start when an Albin fishing boat fell from its trailer following an accident near the Bristol and Warren line about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The Albin "Toot Suite," based out of Barrington, ended up high and dry in the northbound lane of Route 136, near Michael Drive. Police alerted drivers shortly after the accident that they should seek alternate routes while the boat was removed.
There was no word from police on the cause of the accident. Police had the road clear by 5 p.m.
