Drivers charged with marijuana possession in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Wednesday, May 19

Mark A. Martinez, 24, of 22 Knox St., Apt. B2, West Haven, Conn., was charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana (first offense) after his vehicle was stopped on West Main Road at John Street at 12:30 a.m. He was also charged with driving without an active license (first offense).

Eric Camacho, 20, of 505 Chase Road. Dartmouth, was charged with multiple offenses after being pulled over for a roadway violation on West Main Road at Turkey Hill around 1:15 a.m. While running routine checks, officers discovered that Mr. Camacho had an outstanding affidavit warrant issued by the Lincoln Police Department, and he was also charged with possession of more than one ounce of marijuana. While being processed at the police station, he was found to be in possession of a fake Rhode Island driver’s license, so he was also charged with unlawful drinking and misrepresentation by an underage person (first offense).

Alicia A. Ortiz, 26, of 2 Benefit St., Apt. 3, Pawtucket, was charged with forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates after being pulled over on Route 24 at Turnpike Avenue around 4:25 p.m. Police said a fraudulent license plate was affixed to the vehicle.

Ricardo A. Villalobos, 34, of 151 Stringham Road, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct after police responded to the Weaver Cove boat ramp around 9:25 p.m. to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim was a 34-year-old woman from Portsmouth, according to police. 

Friday, May 21

Charles G. Ged, 56, of 470 Commodore Circle, Delray Beach, Fla., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for speeding and for committing a land roadway violation on Route 24 North at Sprague Street around 12:35 a.m. While conducting a search for weapons, officers found Mr. Ged to be in possession of marijuana as well as a hard, white powdery substance, according to police. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said.

Saturday, May 22

Udon D. Thao, 29, of 77 Mawney St., Providence, was arrested on a full bench warrant issued by Superior Court after officers observed a “suspicious” vehicle parked under the Sakonnet Bridge. Mr. Thao was taken into custody and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranson pending his arraignment.

Sunday, May 23

Ross M. Deltoro, 40, of 24 Tobin Lane, Bristol, was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant after his vehicle was pulled over on West Main Road at Mailcoach Road around 1:40 p.m.
