PORTSMOUTH — Veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) were the beneficiaries of a fund-raiser held Sunday at the VFW Post 5390 in Common Fence Point.

All proceeds benefited the Dare to Dream Ranch in Foster, which offers alternative and equine therapies to treat veterans with PTSD, anxiety and depression.

The event also featured two bands — Bird Stick Band and Broken Roses — plus line dancing lessons with Boot Scootin’ Sarah T, a cornhole tournament with the Aquidneck Island Cornhole League, a silent auction, face-painting and food from The Bite.

The event was sponsored by Tracie Hall Real Estate Group, in partnership with Nate Nary and Henry Upham of Movement Mortgage and Keller Williams Coastal Realty.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
