Man charged with violating 3rd no-contact order in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — A Fall River man was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 8, and charged with violating a domestic no-contact order, his third offense.

Portsmouth Police had an active affidavit warrant out for the arrest of Kawan O. Hernandez, 41, of 11 Choate St. 

Rhode Island State Police notified the local department that Mr. Hernandez was in custody.

The arrest was made at a North Drive residence, and the victim was a 43-year-old woman who lives in Portsmouth, according to police. 

Here are some other recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Tuesday, Sept. 7

Isaiah A. Martin (no age given), of 28 Ludlow Road, Unit A., Middletown, was arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant after being pulled over at Dunkin Donuts on West Main Road around 5:20 p.m. for an “interval between vehicles” violation. 

Wednesday, Sept. 8

Brendan P. Healey, 52, of 18 Chavenson St., Apt. 3, Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after his vehicle was puled over for multiple moving violations on West Main Road around 9:20 p.m. 

Saturday, Sept. 11

Paula M. Relle, 65, of 106 Wilkey Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after police responded to the area of Portsmouth Liquors on West Main Road around 7 p.m. to investigate a report of a woman who appeared highly intoxicated and was attempting to enter a motor vehicle, according to police. 

Daniel Mercer, 21, of 400 Metacom Ave., Bristol, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after his vehicle was pulled over on West Main Road around 9 p.m. after he committed several moving violations, police said.

Sunday, Sept. 12

Stacy A. Crowley-Maniatis, 49, of 14 Saratoga St., Fairhaven, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over on West Main Road around 1:15 a.m. for multiple roadway violations. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, according to police.

Monday, Sept. 13

Raymond T. O’Loughlin, 43, of 208 Market St., Warren, was charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior) after police responded to Point Road to investigate a report of a man yelling at someone else in a threatening manner. Mr. O’Loughlin had already left the scene by the time officers arrived, but he later came into police headquarters, according to police.
