PORTSMOUTH — A 39-year-old Central Falls man faces multiple charges after police said they found “multiple firearms” and a narcotic following a traffic stop on Saturday, Jan. 11.

After his vehicle was pulled over on West Main Road at Hedly Street at about 10 p.m., officers determined that Charles Wiggins, of 57 Garfield St., Apt. 1, had a suspended driver’s license, police said.

During a tow inventory of the vehicle, officers discovered multiple firearms and a narcotic, according to police.

Wiggins was charged with the following:

• Two counts of illegal possession of a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence/being a fugitive from justice

• Failure to have a license or permit to carry a pistol

• Possession of a controlled substance.

• Driving after his license had been suspended, revoked or canceled, his fourth and subsequent offense.
