PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth High School’s varsity boys’ hockey team plays for all the marbles when it takes on East Greenwich in the Division II championship game on Sunday, March 9.

The Patriots edged St. Raphael Academy in a semifinal matchup, 3-2, on Wednesday at Schneider Area at Providence College.

Portsmouth is the No. 3 seed, while St. Ray’s was seeded No. 2. East Greenwich, which beat Cumberland in the other semifinal game, 2-0, is the No. 1 seed and hasn’t given up a goal in the tournament yet.

The Patriots advanced to the semis by defeating Narragansett in a best-of-three series, 2-1.

Sunday’s championship game starts at 1 p.m. at Schneider Arena, Providence College.
