PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School varsity girls’ lacrosse team continued its impressive season Monday with a dominant win over visiting Rocky Hill Country Day.
The lady Patriots took control of the game from the start, beating the Mariners 26-11.
Portsmouth is now 9-1 and sitting atop Division II, two games ahead of Prout School. The Patriots’ only loss so far came at the hands of North Kingstown, 16-5, during an away game on May 21.
The team’s last regular-season game is on the road against 1-8 Smithfield on Thursday, June 10.
The playoffs begin on Sunday, June 13.
