PORTSMOUTH — Jordan Burnley notched an all-around score of 33.25 to lead the Portsmouth High School gymnastics team in the Region 1 State Championship at the Newport County YMCA in Middletown on Saturday. 

Portsmouth placed third behind Barrington and Mt. Hope, with a team score of 129.95.

Here’s how the three top PHS gymnasts scored in the individual events:

• Jordan Burnley: 8.85 for the vault, 6.65 for the bars, 8.80 for the beam, and 8.95 for the floor for a total all-around score of 33.25

• Sierra Bonoff: 8.30 (vault), 7.90 (bars), 8.50 (beam), 8.05 (floor), 32.75 (all-around)

• Madison Both: 8.55 (vault), 7.20 (bars), 7.05 (beam), 7.50 (floor), 30.30 (all-around)

In addition, Nora Cooney notched an 8.35 on the vault, a 7.65 on the beam and an 8.15 on the floor; while Caitlyn Woordell managed an 8.20 on the vault, a 7.50 on the beam and a 7.00 on the floor.

Gabriella Randazzo scored an 8.60 on the vault and a 7.05 on the bars; Fiona Daly scored a 7.40 on the bars and a 7.75 on the floor; and Lucy Waldner scored a 6.85 on the bars and an 8.20 on the beam.
