PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:
Wednesday, July 17
Frank J. Saunders, 46, of 71 Callender Ave., Newport, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery. Officers responded to Park Avenue near Schultzy’s Snack Shack at about 9:15 p.m. to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. When they arrived, officers determined that Saunders had attacked a 29-year-old woman from Fall River and was deemed the primary aggressor, according to police. A witness told officers that Saunders had grabbed the woman by the neck and pushed her into the street, police said.
Lakeisha M. Pina, 28, of 2000 Bay St., Apt. 70D, Fall River, was charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to the area of Park Avenue and Schultzy’s Snack Shack to check on a report of a domestic disturbance around 9 p.m. Pina appeared to be under the influence and was screaming and cursing on the public roadway, according to police.
Thursday, July 18
Alexander Q. Robles, 37, 145F Hillside Ave., Newport, was arrested on an affidavit warrant after a vehicle in which he was a passenger was pulled over for a traffic stop on West Main Road at Prescott Point around 2:10 p.m., police said. The warrant was out of Middletown, and officers from that town’s police department later took custody of Robles, police said.
Saturday, July 20
Lynda K. Lisker, 58, of 697 Putnam Pike, Greenville, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, shortly before 9 p.m. According to police, Lister was pulled over on Turnpike Avenue at the Portsmouth Community Playground after officers observed her vehicle traveling over the center double yellow line. Lisker was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said.
Monday, July 22
Madeline Rose Zeek, 29, of 11 Mercy Weeden Court, Jamestown, was charged with DUI, first offense, at about 12:20 a.m. Zeek was pulled over on West Main Road at Turkey Hill for failing to maintain the lane, police said. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.
