PORTSMOUTH — Led by Ellie Bishop’s four goals, the visiting North Kingstown Skippers shut out Portsmouth High in a Division I varsity soccer matchup on Friday, Sept. 17.
The Skippers’ Isabella Cambio added another goal in the 5-0 victory over the Patriots. North Kingstown led at halftime, 3-0.
Portsmouth’s goalkeeper, Emily Maito, made 12 saves in net.
The Patriots’ record is now 1-2, which includes a 2-1 loss to South Kingstown on Sept. 12, and a 5-2 win over Coventry on Sept. 15.
Portsmouth hopes to get back on track with a home game against East Greenwich on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
The Patriots will host Mt. Hope on Thursday, Sept. 23, and Cranston West on Monday, Sept. 27, before traveling to La Salle Academy on Friday, Oct. 1.
