PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:
Monday, Feb. 24
Herschel Leo Gates III, 45, of 96 Dexter St., was arrested at his home shortly before 10 a.m. on a warrant brought by the R.I. Department of Environmental Management’s Division of Law Enforcement, police said. Gates was transported to police headquarters, where he was booked, processed, and then transferred to the custody of RIDEM officers.
Two people living at 16 Education Lane were arrested at about 5:10 p.m. on affidavit warrants that had been issued by the Tiverton Police Department. Hector A. Celaya Rivera, 28, and Kandice Marie Jones, 25, were taken into custody by Tiverton Police.
Wednesday, Feb. 26
Esqulese Rachelle Black, 21, of 754 Manton Ave., Providence, was arrested on a Pawtucket Police warrant following a motor vehicle stop in the area of West Main Road and Bayview Apartments around 1:10 p.m. She was later released to the custody of the Pawtucket Police Department.
Friday, Feb. 28
Harrison R. Kay, 26, of 5 Reid St., Bristol, was arrested on a Tiverton Police warrant for a charge of domestic disorderly conduct. After receiving a call for service, officers located Kay’s vehicle at a weigh station on Route 24 South shortly after 8 p.m., police said. Kay was released to the custody of Tiverton Police.
Saturday, March 1
Cheyne Woodshield Cousens, 42, of 44 Forest Ave., Middletown, was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, following a motor vehicle stop on Bristol Ferry Road at Mare Terrace at about 1:35 a.m. Cousens was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said.
Mark M. Cabral, 51, of 39 Davis St., Attleboro, Mass., was charged with domestic cyberstalking and cyber-harassment at about 10:40 p.m. Cabral was arrested by the Pawtucket Police Department after Portsmouth Police had issued an affidavit warrant. He was later released to the custody of Portsmouth Police. The victim was a 50-year-old woman who lives in Portsmouth, according to police.
