As the expansion of support for Parkinson’s moves to Little Compton, this means more support for more people living with Parkinson’s disease is available. People can choose to visit one group or both for added support where they can share personal experiences, feelings, coping strategies, and engage in many educational opportunities related to the disease — all aimed at empowering physical and mental movement toward living well with Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s Aquidneck Island support group
The support group meets on the second Saturday of each month at the Middletown Public Library (700 West Main Road) from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. For more information about the support group and other resources, check out the pdbuzzNPT website.
Parkinson’s disease support group in Little Compton
The support group will begin meeting on the second Thursday of each month starting June 12 at the Community Wellness Center in Little Compton (115 East Main Road) from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. For more information about the support group, check out the Little Compton Wellness Center Website.
