PORTSMOUTH — Here are recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Wednesday, Oct. 30

Amanda Jean Bohm, 50, of 28 Bradley Terrace, was charged with simple domestic assault and battery, her first offense, after police responded to her home shortly after 7 p.m. in response to a call for service. When officers arrived they separated Bohm and another person, and after speaking with those involved, determined that Bohm had engaged in a physical altercation with a 68-year-old Portsmouth woman, according to police. Bohn was secured in a female call at the police station and transported to 2nd District Court in Newport the following morning, police said.

Thursday, Oct. 31

Hector J. Jimenez, 31, of 44 Maize Corn Road, was arrested at his home around 12:45 a.m. on a warrant charging him with two counts of domestic felony assault using a dangerous weapon or substance. Police said the warrant was issued in connection with a prior incident that took place at the home on Oct. 18. Jimenez had made threats involving a weapons toward family members — a 24-year-old man, and a 26-year-old woman — within the residence, according to police. Jimenez was booked and processed at the police station and transported to 2nd District Court in Newport later that morning.
