Question: What's at the top of your agenda if elected to the Barrington School Committee?

Rudy Seber (D) — “Issues need not be divisive. I will work together with my peers so that we have better means of communicating and engaging with the community, assuring there is less shock and more buy-in regarding upcoming necessary changes if I believe they are for the betterment of the whole.”

Margaret Reid (D) — “Along with better communication, we need increased mental health supports for all students and staff; full access to curriculum and activities for students with disabilities; a stronger, more positive, focus on inclusion and the value of diversity in district culture; and the establishment of on-site aftercare for elementary aged students. ”

TJ Peck (I) — “There are systemic problems with leadership, community partnership, transparency and oversight which need to be addressed as they are having a detrimental impact on many parts of Barrington Public Schools. The preservation of our neighborhood schools, low teacher morale, budget neutral after school care and community partnership are top priorities.”

Frazier Bell (I) — “BPS lost 8% of its teachers last year and based on conversations I've had with them this is not explained solely by COVID. I will work to improve teacher morale and ensure they have a voice at the table. Attracting and retaining top teachers is critical to student success.”
