The Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium in Bristol is hosting several special events this weekend. Following are details:

“The Birds! An Evening of Drinks, Birds, Film and Fun”

Saturday, Oct. 26; 6:30-9 p.m.

Come to Audubon for a special showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “The Birds,” a 1963 American classic natural horror-thriller film. The evening will begin with a special live presentation with one of Audubon’s bird ambassadors. Then sit back and enjoy the movie, locally brewed beers, snacks and more.

Fee: $20/member, $25/non-member. Ages: 21+. Register online through the events calendar at asri.org.

“Seaweed Pressing”

Saturday, Oct. 26; 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Join local artist and Newport gallery owner Mary Jameson as she explores marine algae as a unique, contemporary art form. Using specimens and organic matter from the intertidal zones along the coast, she returns to her studio to study the shapes, texture and color of individual species and starts a process of symbiotic layering to create new forms. Participants will learn about her process, and make two unique pressings.

Fee: $125 for both members and non-members. Ages 12 and up. Register online through the events calendar at at asri.org.

Halloween Mask Craft

Sunday, Oct. 27; 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Stop by to make a spooky, nature-inspired Halloween mask. No need to register.
