The Barrington High School boys soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie against East Providence on Saturday afternoon, pushing its overall record to 2-0-2. The tie against the Townies followed a 0-0 tie against Tiverton in a non-league game on Thursday.
The Eagles controlled the ball for much of the game against Tiverton and had a number of scoring opportunities, but the Tigers' defense proved up to the challenge, turning aside Barrington's scoring bids.
Against East Providence, Barrington scored two goals in the first half. Eli Muller and Cam Chalue-Feeney both found the back of the Townies' net, and the Eagles carried a 2-1 lead into the halftime break. East Providence managed to net a goal in the second half and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Jason Troiano and Sean Imbush shared goalkeeping duties against East Providence. The two keepers combined to make 15 saves.
Barrington was scheduled to play at South Kingstown on Tuesday and at Portsmouth on Saturday.
