The Barrington High School boys indoor track team continued to dominate the competition in the dual meet season. The Eagles improved to 8-0 after defeating Narragansett 104-5 and Smithfield 99-10 on Sunday, June 5.

The Eagles had a number of stellar showings in the meet, and now boast a number of number one athletes on the state’s top performances list. Bobby Wind won the 55-meter hurdles and has the top time in the state. Patrick Trainor is number one in the long jump and won the event with a distance of 22 feet, .75 inches. And Daniel won the 1,000-meter race and earned a spot at the top of the state list.

The Eagles swept the 3,000-meter race, as Colby Napolitano finished first, Connor Curran was second and Neal Bansal finished third.

Wind won the 55-meter hurdles, while Jared Lesk was second and Grady Hazlett was third. Will DiGiacomo, Hazlett and Wind finished first, second and third respectively in the 300-meter race.

Trainor won the 55-meter race with a time of 6.7 seconds, while Wind was second and Charly Potter finished third. Wind and Potter both clocked sub-7 second times.

The Eagles swept the top three spots in the 1,000 as Chun won the event, followed by Myles Napolitano in second and Marius Bonard in third. The Eagles also swept the top three spots in the 1,500-meter race, with Michael Chun winning, Brooks Mello taking second and Brady Andrew finishing third.
