The Barrington High School boys outdoor track team cruised to a 4-0 record in dual meets with victories over Portsmouth (131-23) and Mt. Hope (151-3) on Monday, April 21.
Myles Napolitano led the way for the Eagles. The senior won the 3,000-meter race with a time of 8:53.7, and the 1,500-meter race with a time of 4:13.8. Napolitano capped his dominant performance with a win in the 800-meter race, crossing the line with a time of 1:59.6.
Joe Adams, a junior, also had a strong meet. He won the hammer throw, discus and the shot put. Adams’s distance in the discus was a personal best for the season — 163 feet, 1 inch.
Bobby Wind dominated the hurdle events. The senior Naval Academy-commit won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.8 seconds. Wind also won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.3 seconds, more than two seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Patrick Trainor, a junior, won the 100-meter race with a time of 11.4 seconds. He also teamed up with Wind, Caleb Satisfield and Charly Potter to win the 4x100-meter relay race.
