Barrington earns wins over Mt. Hope and Narragansett

Eagles rally for 8-6 win against Huskies

Jack Marley and Blake Dolan each drove in three runs, pacing the Barrington High School baseball team to an 8-6 win over Mt. Hope last week. 

Marley went 2-for-2 at the plate, drove in three and scored a run, while Dolan was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Miles Dolan went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Barrington fell behind 1-0 in the top of the second inning, but bounced back with two runs in the bottom of the frame. The Eagles added to their lead in the bottom of the third, but the Huskies re-took the lead in the top of the fourth with three runs. 

A five-run fourth inning for Barrington propelled the home team to the win over their rivals. 

Jack Lawson, Nate Coutant and David Redmond shared pitching duties in the victory. Redmond did not allow a run in 1.1 innings of work. The senior struck out three Huskies and walked one. Redmond also went 1-for-2 at the plate and scored twice. 

On Saturday, May 3, Barrington built an 8-0 lead over Narragansett and cruised to the 12-4 win. Blake Dolan led the Eagles’ offense with three hits and two runs scored, while Alex Anderson had two hits and  drove in three runs. Marley finished with a hit, two RBI and two runs scored, while Redmond went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.

Miles Dolan, Coutant and Cole Kepner shared pitching duties, while Coutant picking up the win. Kepner pitched two innings and struck out six batters while not allowing a single hit.
