The Barrington High School girls soccer team scored four second-half goals and rolled to a 5-0 win over Mt. Hope in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs on Tuesday night, Oct. 29.

The Eagles opened the scoring at the 17-minute mark in the first half, when Bailey Duncan found the back of the Huskies’ goal. The score remained 1-0 until mid-way through the second half, when Liv Morrissette scored. Duncan netted her second goal of the game at the 60-minute mark and Lena Pilipski added the Eagles’ fourth goal two minutes later. Mackenzie Lima finished off the scoring for Barrington High School, with a goal at the 71-minute mark.

Barrington High School Coach Martyn Hollands said Ellie Donato and Hannah Carlotto played well defensively against the Huskies.

“I’m delighted for the girls. They have played well enough this year to have the opportunity of extending their season,” Hollands wrote in a message to the Barrington Times.

The Eagles will play against LaSalle Academy in the quarterfinals. The game will be played on Friday, Nov. 1, at LaSalle Academy at 6:30 p.m.
