Posted

The Barrington High School boys track team competed in the New England Championships, held recently in Connecticut.

Myles Napolitano led the way for the Eagles. Napolitano raced to a seventh-place finish in the 1,600-meter race and set a new Barrington High School record in the process. Napolitano’s time of 4:19.72 snapped the record set by Tom Barry in 2013.

The Eagles’ 4x800-meter relay team finished in sixth place, with a time of 7:57.42. The relay team featured Michael Chun, Daniel Chun, Brady Andrew and Henry Stockwell.

Barrington’s Charly Potter finished seventh in the javelin with a distance of 164 feet, 10 inches.

Joe Adams was eighth in the discus with a distance of 163 feet, 1 inch. Adams also competed in the New England Hammer Throw Championship, held recently at Conley Stadium in Providence. Adams finished sixth in both the 25-pound hammer and in the 35-pound hammer.
