The Barrington Little League 10U Minors Softball All Stars started their District 2 tournament with a decisive 13-1 win over Portsmouth on Monday night, June 30, thanks to rock solid pitching by Finn Goodhue and a 10-run first inning at the plate.

Goodhue was in control in the pitcher’s circle from the beginning and threw a four-inning complete game, one-hitter. She struck out nine and walked four. Eleven different players scored for Barrington and every player reached base. Lyla Nasuti led the team with two RBI.

Lila Goglia set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading the All Stars with two hits in two at-bats. Katie Antonelli, Finn Goodhue, and Hallie Cirillo each stole multiple bases.

Barrington had a good eye at the plate, drawing eight walks for the game, and ran wild on the base paths, amassing 13 stolen bases. Barrington did not commit a single error - including no passed balls allowed by catcher Claire Connors.
