Town council delays decision on South Lake Drive

Posted

• South Lake Drive remains closed, for now: Members of the Barrington Town Council voted to keep South Lake Drive closed to vehicle traffic until the June 7 meeting, if not later. The council had been expected to vote on what to do with South Lake Drive at the May meeting, but the town manager said he had not yet received input from all three committees tasked with studying the issue. Officials closed the road to vehicle traffic earlier this year, citing its poor condition, illegal dumping and underage drinking in that area.
