Barrington Police called to gas station for two separate incidents

One incident involves vehicle getting stuck in drive-through car wash

Barrington Police responded to the gas station on County Road twice last week — first for a man who passed out, and the second time for vehicle stuck in the car wash.

On Monday, Dec. 23, police officers responded to the gas station after receiving a 911 call at about 9:30 p.m. for a male party passed.

When officers arrived at the scene they located a 30-year-old Barrington man who appeared to be passed out or possibly coming down off some type of substance. Police said the man was unresponsive and sweating profusely.

Police said first responders on the scene administered Narcan to the man and he regained consciousness. Police said the man became argumentative at that time. EMTs transported the man to a hospital. He was not charged.

On Friday, Dec. 27 police were back at the gas station after a vehicle became stuck in the car wash.

Police said a 50-year-old Barrington woman was attempting to drive through the car wash when a brush became entangled in the bike rack mounted on the vehicle’s tow hitch.

According to the dispatch report, the woman was told to get out of the vehicle until a gas station attendant could address the issue. A short time later, an employee from the gas station straightened out the situation.
