The Barrington Tree Lighting is fast-approaching. 

The event is set for Saturday, Nov. 30, from 2 to 5:15 p.m. It will include activities, music, games, performances, a visit from Santa, and it will culminate with the actual tree-lighting at 5 p.m.

Following is the schedule:

2 to 4 p.m. — Music by East Bay Sound Co. DJ Marcus Paiva

2 to 3 p.m. — Cookie decorating and hot chocolate (cookies donated by Vienna Bakery)

2 to 4 p.m. — Snowman bowling, Candyland, face-painting, letters to Santa and more

3:45 p.m. — Santa arrives on a Barrington Fire Department truck

4 p.m. — Musical performances by Empowered Movement, Nayatt Elementary School Chorus, Barrington Music School, Arts Alive!, Barrington Middle School Chorus, and Barrington High School Choral Ensemble

5 p.m. — Tree lighting, with an encore performance by the Barrington High School Choral Ensemble
