Blindfolded Regatta brings smiles and raises money

Posted

The Blindfolded Rowing Regatta and boat raffle, held last weekend off Bristol Town Beach, raised more than $2,000 for the Bristol County Lions Club’s local charitable giving and causes, including Thanksgiving baskets, Adopt-A-Family, the Ronald McDonald House, and high school senior scholarships.

“This was such a fun event! The wind and waves didn’t stop anyone from competing in or enjoying the regatta or the cookout,” said Lisa Runci, president of the club. “We are hoping to make this an annual end-of-summer event — see you next year!”

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
