Booster Day serves as a key fund-raiser for BHS athletics

Barrington High School student-athletes will be going door-to-door on Saturday, Sept. 17, as part of Barrington Booster Day.

Students will be asking residents to support the Barrington Booster Club, and in turn, Barrington High School athletics. The Booster Day event serves as a key fund-raiser for the Barrington High School athletic program.

Recent donations to the Barrington Boosters Club have supported championship awards and jackets, strength and agility training staff, video equipment, field hockey nets, a baseball field netting system, the BHS Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the holiday basketball tournament, and more.

Residents who are not visited by a BHS student-athlete on Saturday can still support the event: People can donate via PayPal at www.barringtonboosters.org, venmo@Barrington-Boosters, or mail a check to P.O. Box 232, Barrington RI 02806 (checks should be made payable to Barrington Boosters).

The Barrington Boosters Club was initially created in the 1960s as a way to provide student athletes with awards and recognition. Over time, the club has evolved to also provide financial support for the athletic programs at both Barrington High School and Barrington Middle School. Since its inception, Barrington Boosters has donated more than $1 million to the student-athletes in Barrington.
