Boys track team dominates at Injury Fund meet

Eagles also easily win first dual meets

The Barrington High School boys outdoor track won the Class B Injury Fund Relays on Wednesday, April 9. 

The Eagles scored 90 points, finishing ahead of second-place Portsmouth (55 points) and the rest of the field. Barrington had meet champions in nine out of the 10 events. 

Bobby Wind, Charly Potter, Charlie Britto and Patrick Trainor teamed up to win the 4x100-meter relay, while Daniel Serna, Grady Hazlett, Brito and Trainor won the 4x200-meter relay. 

Henry Stockwell, Jake Tomlinson, Xav Barako, and Marius Bonard won the 4x400-meter relay, and Shea Parish, Ethan Couturier and Kevin Yang won the high jump relay. 

Joe Adams, Aidan Chopin and Yang won the hammer relay, while Potter, Soren Hoffmann, and Leo Katz won the javelin relay. 

Aden Memoli, Hazlett and Levon He won the triple jump relay, and Mello, Tomlinson, Fritz Muehlbauer and Colby Napolitano won the distance medley relay. 

In the 4x800-meter relay, Myles Napolitano, Michael Chun, Bonard and Daniel Chun finished in first place. 

The Eagles also dominated their first duals meet of the season. Barrington beat Middletown, 151-3, and St. Patrick’s 153-1. 

Following are the first-place finishers for Barrington:

• 110-meter hurdles: Hazlett

• 1,500-meters: Myles Napolitano

• 400-meters: Stockwell

• 800-meters: Myles Napolitano

• 3,000-meters: Myles Napolitano

• 100-meters: Potter

• 200-meters: Potter

• 300-meter hurdles: Hazlett

• 4x100-meter relay: Barrington (Trainor, Serna, Potter, Wind)

• 4x400-meter relay: Barrington (Muehlbauer, Bonard, Barako, Stockwell

• Hammer: Adams

• Javelin: Potter

• Pole vault: Kelly Hill

• Long jump: Memoli

• Shot put: Adams

• Discus: Adams

• High jump: Colten Glass

• Triple jump: Memoli
