With a welcome break from the weekend rain, a crowd came out for Bristol’s annual Memorial Day observances, beginning with a solemn wreath-laying at the North Burial Ground and a keynote address from Brigadier General (Ret.) Greg Ebner, a Bristol resident who served as Patriotic Speaker for the 2024 July 4th Celebration. The parade down Hope Street followed, the route lined by spectators young and old waving American flags. The procession made its way to the Veterans Memorial Garden at the Burnside Building, where the observances honoring those who served and gave their lives throughout the nation’s various wars and conflicts concluded.
