British Motorcars hosting annual parade and car show in Bristol

British Motorcars of New England is holding its annual car show with Explore Bristol. On Friday at 5:15 p.m., 90 cars will parade from Colt State Park through downtown and arrive at Independence Park, Thames Street, for a preview car show and concert by Plug N Play from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be food, beer and wine. On Saturday, a car show with over 250 cars is at Colt State Park across from the Town Beach, Asylum Road, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be food trucks and voting for your favorite cars.

WHAT: British Motorcars 2025

WHEN: Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7

WHERE: Bristol

COST: Free and open to the public

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
