Carolyn D. Frost - Memorial service Aug. 16

Carolyn D. Frost was a resident of Barrington until her death, May 29, 2020. She was born in Providence to the late Lloyd M. and Daisy D. (Culver) Frost. She was a graduate of Barrington High School, Cape Cod Hospital School of Practical Nursing and Community College of Rhode Island with an Associate Degree in Nursing.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Robert M. Frost of Warren, R.I.

She enjoyed her family and friends and the many get-togethers. Carolyn was a prolific hobbyist. She painted, knitted and crafted lovely beadwork pieces, which she shared with family and friends. She was into learning about her family history.

She was a member of Critical Care Nurses Association until her retirement. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Bristol chapter.

She is survived by her brother, Allyn F. (wife Edith) Frost of Warwick, R.I., and sister Joan Flewelling of Newmarket, N.H.,; nieces Kathleen, Margaret and Elizabeth; nephews Robert and William; great-nieces Katherine, Susan, Stephanie, Brittany and Marisa; great-nephews David, Thanas, Nicholas and Marcus; great-great niece Emily, and great-great-nephews Timothy, Luke, Brayden and Grayson.

Carolyn was ever supportive of all people in her care, family, friends, nurses and patients.

Funeral services were private. A memorial luncheon will be held Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at Chelo's Restaurant, East Providence, R.I., at 1:30 p.m.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
