Celebrate the holidays with Fireside Christmas Concerts

Linden Place is excited to host a lineup of Christmas concerts throughout the month of December that will put you in the holiday spirit.

Atwater-Donnelly - Friday Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Celebrating winter and American diversity, the award-winning internationally acclaimed duo, Atwater-Donnelly, present folk songs, percussive dance, gorgeous harmonies, and audience participation for a performance that appeals to all ages.

WINDHARP - Saturday, Dec 28th at 7:30pm
WINDHARP presents a rich four-part harmony accompanied by guitars, flute, Irish whistles, mandolin, Celtic harp and Irish bodhran. This program is hosted inside the intimate Linden Place parlors and welcomes the winter solstice with carols, sacred songs and joyful wassail tunes.

This concert series is a part of Linden Place Mansion’s “The Art of Christmas Celebration”. In addition to the concerts, the historic house and museum store will be open and decorated for the holiday season from Nov 29  through Jan 5. Seasonal hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Reservations are recommended for all concerts as space is limited. Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
