A chicken coop on Maple Avenue caught fire early Saturday morning, April 4.
Barrington firefighters and police officers responded to the blaze quickly. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire, which started when strong winds knocked a heat lamp onto the coop floor.
The Barrington Fire Chief said the chickens escaped the fire unharmed.
"The four chickens were all accounted for with no injuries or fatalities," he said.
